Aristotle's Lantern is a multiscreen video installation showcasing organic and mineral matters between figuration and abstraction. Human entities are performing for the camera in an artificial setting whereas other organic entities are shot acting and interacting in their natural environment. The six videos are projected on a patchwork of SCOBY pieces (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria and Yeast), a skin-like thin organic membrane shown bellow the videos. The piece asks questions about neutrality, observation, consciousness and self-awareness.  The name of the piece references the mastication system of the urchin ingesting food. This complex mechanism was discovered and studied by Aristotle.
