IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A LOOP

Short uni-screen film, 2020

It’s Supposed to Be A Loop is an experimental film on the question of liberation. Using sound and images, I create a dialogue between the formal structure of the loop and a cinematic narrative; Is self-destruction an engrained condition or is it subjected to external factors? How does the past influence our present and projected future?

The website is a parody of the French association for hunting, www.chasseurdefrance.com. It reinterprets its texts according to an imagined situation in which eating meet is subjected to a licence, highlighting the excess of the current food industry.

ARISTOTLE LANTERN

Two-screens video Installation, 2018 - 2019

Urchins have a fascinating body to which I like to identify physically and metaphorically. These videos show close-ups of the animal body parts shot through a microscope at the Bio Lab of the School of Visual Arts in New York. They unveil what is not visible to the naked eye: spines that look like male sexual organs and a mouth made of five tongs and five teeth that look like a female sexual organ with a complex mechanism of absorption and castration. The work was exhibited at the SVA summer residency open studios 2018 and 2019.

RENACIMIENTO I - FLESH & STONES

Immersive Multimedia Installation, 2017

Flesh & Stones is a poetic ultrasound fresco of the humankind. This scenographic work shows actors performing naked while dissolving in their environment. The videos and pictures are visible only through pinholes. Created and directed in Madrid at RARO residency. Exhibited at Espacio Nigredo in November 2017.

UNPOLISHED STONES, 2019 - 2020

Visualization of the installation in situ

(scale: 30 m long)

This street installation project was proposed to the city hall of Aubervilliers to be part of the White Night 2020. The installation uses scrap metal from nearby scrap metal merchants to integrate it to the already existing street setting in a playful manner. Questioning gentrification and its surprising effects on street arrangements and urban spaces, the installation simultaneously highlights issues related to art's economic and social value.

WEALTH OF POLITICALLY POLISHED STONES, 2018

Copper

The sculpture is a 3D labyrinth made of copper pipes engraved with a poetic sarcastic text about human drives for domination and work alienation. The performing aspect of the piece consisting in hand engraving the text on 120 meters of copper pipes for 7 days non stop reminds the content of the text. Created in New York and exhibited at the open studios of the SVA summer residency 2018.
